My Journey

My name is Troy, and I am a Spiritual Guide and Iboga Provider at Root & Wisdom. My background combines chemistry, psychology, and spirituality. I hold a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry and an M.S. in Analytical Chemistry, where I spent over 10 years working in the fields of Analytical Chemistry and Vibrational Spectroscopy. I also hold a Master’s degree in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and am currently pursuing a PsyD in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University. Additionally, I am an initiate of the Bwiti tradition of Central Africa, where my paternal ancestry originates.

In 2019, I left my established career and life to follow the guidance I received from Iboga during a sacred medicine journey, aligning with my calling of selfless service. I have since become a certified Life Coach, Spiritual Life Coach, Past Life Regression Therapist, Pranic Healer, and Sound Healer. My work is deeply rooted in Mind Transcendence—a process developed from my studies and personal experiences to help others liberate themselves from the suffering rooted in their minds.

I have released two internationally available albums, Sounds of Medicine and Planetary Attunements, and authored a book that explores the deeper aspects of sound healing from both scientific and spiritual perspectives, available on Amazon called Sound Healing - Solfeggio.

My spiritual teacher is Steve Montoya, an Apache Elder and Healer based in Española, New Mexico, known for his miraculous healings. If you need assistance with ailments that traditional Western medicine has not resolved, please let me know, and I can connect you with Steve.

I am the founder of Root & Wisdom, where I support individuals through Iboga and Mind Transcendence, helping them find freedom from the suffering of their minds. Additionally, I founded the Sacred Roots Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting Indigenous communities impacted by the ongoing effects of colonization.

As a child, I was a product of the foster system and was born to a mother who was a drug addict, sex worker, and HIV+ at the point of my conception, also never having met my biological father. Although my childhood was a traumatic time spent being subject to various forms of abuse, I found a way out by utilizing a full athletic scholarship which allowed me to escape the socio-economic constraints of my upbringing.

In 2018, I experienced a profound spiritual awakening—known as Satori in Zen Buddhism—that transformed my perception of reality. This inner state of peace transcends all external change and has guided me to my life’s purpose: to serve others on their path to Self-Realization.

In surrendering my personal desires and attachments, I have allowed an indescribable intelligence to guide my life, placing in my path the insights, opportunities, and people needed to fulfill my purpose. This experience confirmed a universal truth: life holds value beyond what we can perceive through our senses and material possessions.

I am not asking you to believe or have faith in anything I am telling you; I am, however, offering my help to guide you in experiencing this for yourself. Nevertheless, we must not forget one fundamental truth; Experience Transcends Faith.
